Our Human Situation

An ordinary life
Thank you for
Pointing that out
That thing I do
You do
Is not our fault
Thank goodness tomorrow
My maiden tabula rasa
Opens the window to a new
But more dissatisfactory view
I laugh
Because the rain will come
And wipe again
The black dawn too near the heart
And left me so dark
So starved
So that I would see you plainly
As you are
It is not our fault
But,
Our way
