The Noble Heart

Yes, I am re-awakened.

I look toward the pain.

Look for the pain.

But, for beauty.

Beauty in the anger,

Beauty in the loss,

Beauty in the longing,

Beauty in the decay,

Beauty in the fear,

Beauty in the regret,

Beauty in the hurt,

Beauty in the face of you.

Yes, I am awakened.

I see you now.

I see me, now.

I give up!

And open myself to the mend inherent.

Come with me.

Where you are welcome.

  1. Tough to see the beauty in all these negative things. But I thunk it is worth the effort to try and look for the good in any situation for your own health and sanity. This list could go on and on with the smallest glimmer of beauty hidden in them. Most of us need to take a step back and look for the good in our lives and remember that sometimes those situations we think are the most miserable can axutually be the best thing that ever could happen to us.
I applaud you for rbi ging this idea back to the forefront of my mind. I hope it sticks! Maybe you will touch the noble heart in your readers, Joy, that would be cool, wouldn’t it?
    Great stuff.

  2. I did not notice this the other day, but I like where you are headed. I think it is great that you are trying to branch out into new territory and look for new ways to express yourself. A lot of writers get stuck in their own heads too much and never try to see things from a different standpoint. Brava! I also look forward to your new work this year. Can’t wait.
